SKC Race 6 with Father’s Day Celebration
June 11 - This Sunday, June 16, is Father’s Day. As the race day sponsor, Simcoe Kart Club is celebrating this occasion at 3-S Go Karts in Sutton by serving up a very special cake. To also mark the occasion, 3-S will set up its track in the Shannonville configuration, and race it in the clockwise direction.
The track is open all week for practice. Saturday’s pre-registration is open from 11 am to 5 pm. For 3-S and SKC members that have purchased the 1 Fee Deal no practice or race day entry fees are applicable and camping is always free.
Simcoe Kart Club invites all karters from ASN Canada affiliated clubs to come and join them at 3-S to celebrate Father’s Day and enjoy a delicious piece of cake. With the BSRKC Bear Hunt races coming up on July 31 to August 4 at Shannonville Motorsport Park, this is the perfect opportunity to practice and race on the track, and in the direction, that closest resembles what you can expect at SMP.
SKC extends its warmest Father’s Day wishes to all dads as it prepares to welcome them and their families to the 3-S track this Sunday.

SKC and TKC Double Header Sponsored by Adrian Pellew School of Guitar
May 30 -This Sunday, June 2, marks the date for the Simcoe and Toronto kart club’s first double header on their 2013 schedule, which will be held at 3-S Go Karts in Sutton. Another first is the addition of brand new sponsor Adrian Pellew School of Guitar better known to SKC members as Junior Lite dad and mechanic for son Adam kart #81.
With two races being contested on the same day both the track configurations, and directions in which they are raced, will be changed between races.
The morning’s race will take place on the Senna track in the clockwise direction. The track configuration and direction for the afternoon races will be selected by a draw at the Driver’s Meeting from the remaining layouts of Montoya, Tracy, Villeneuve, and Schumacher.
The morning race day format starts with practice, qualifying, pre-final and finals. This is followed by a one hour lunch break.
The afternoon races start with practice, followed by an inverted grid pre-final, and then the finals. Please note that the inverted grid is determined by the reverse of the finishing order of the morning race finals.
These new twists will certainly test everyone’s skills and demonstrate just how adaptable the drivers and their mechanics are when faced with just one hour to make the necessary changes before the afternoon schedule starts.
With double the points on the line towards Simcoe Kart Club’s championship titles, and the 10 karat with 15 diamonds solid gold rings to be awarded to the class champions at the club’s year-end banquet, it will be interesting to watch who will make the most of this challenging format, and subsequently succeed in doubling up their points.
The track is open for practice all week, and camping is always free. Pre-Registration is available on Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm.
SKC and TKC welcome all ASN affiliated club members to come and race with them on Sunday.
For SKC members that have purchased the 1 Fee Deal! package, both the race day entry and practice fees are waived.
Make Sunday, June 2, the date where you want to race at 3-S to enjoy SKC’s brand of brand of camaraderie, hospitality, and great go kart racing. And, when you see Enzo, be sure to wish him a belated (June 1st) Happy Birthday. See you there.
